We were actually headed to Stoddard Falls today but unfortunately we ran into a weird issue. Since we were already in the area, we headed back to Etiwanda Falls since our friends hadn't been there before.
Like last time, full sun trail. Bring plenty of water. It can get HOT. The hike isn't long but it can be steep. Imagine walking up stairs for 30 minutes straight, with the heater on. Yah, its kinda like that.
You'd never believe there was a shady water fall to greet you at the end. The stream is so cool and refreshing. You can explore a little more if you follow it up. It isn't well maintained though so watch your step.
This time was extra special because Kurtis wanted to get baptized. I baptized him in a small pool of the stream with his siblings and friends as witnesses.
Parking is free, lot is gravel. No restrooms. Again--sun protection gear and more water than you think you will need.
Enjoy your next adventure!
