Tis the Season...

Isn't this fella the cutest? He is such a character.  He's got a great sense of humor and truly enriches our lives every day.

We've enjoyed some new holiday festivities this season too. We visited the Rancho Los Cerritos for their Christmas open house.  It was great...even though a few rain drops fell. They offered storytelling, live Christmas music, free crafts for the kiddos, hot cider & cookies and even a pinata hosted by Santa.  I think they did a wonderful job.

One tradition we've been participating in every year since oldest was a babe is waiting for the Santa Train.  My mother-in-love's street is a designated stop.  We show up every year on that afternoon and wait for the big guy.  It's usually a time of reminiscing of Christmas' pasts, showing off any new grandchildren to the neighbors and recognizing how big the others have gotten since last year.  Santa always hands everyone a large red apple and giant candy cane.

Yesterday we were treated to a fabulously fun time at Disneyland, compliments of a friend who works there. We had so much fun.  We took our annual Santa pic--free of lines.  Everything about Disneyland during the holidays is just so romantic.  The decorations down Main Street give that nostalgic feel.  It wasn't even crowded and we were able to go on all our favorite rides with little waiting. We had a great view for the Holiday Magic parade, VIP seats for the Aladdin show at California Adventure, then back to Disneyland in time to watch the fireworks!  We caught one more favorite ride before we headed home and before we were over tired.  It was typical beautiful California weather.

aaawwweee....Tis the Season....I LOVE it!
