Weekend Update!

DH had the weekend OFF! Only gets one every 3 months! It was SO nice.

Friday night---back to IMPROV! Attendance was MISERABLE but the show was pretty good though. I was excited about it & felt good. I had a few good moments. One point I was a 'librarian'...the other players thought it was funny that I interjected some 'knowledge' about the library that was 'natural', since I actually GO TO the library regularly. So they thought that was funny! (had to BE there! lol)

We went to a pizza place afterwards & the guy/manager invited us to leave flyers for next week's show. NO ONE has heard of this theater, even though they've all lived in the area "for years"!

Saturday was a lazy hazy day. We were slated to go to a wedding for one of DH cousin's. He decided he did not want to spend his ONE weekend off driving the 2 hours it would take to get here & back...so we stayed local. Dh took us ALL to see M.I. III (mission impossible 3). It was exciting & intense pretty much from start to finish. It would not have been my first choice, but hey, DH worked SO hard last month, he deserves to choose the movie! lol ( I normally let him anyway & we rarely go to teh movies, we normally rent. lololol)

After that he took us shopping. We went to Nordstrom Rack since we were planning on meeting my parents for dinner in the area later. He wanted me to get a dress but they didn't have much...so he SPOILED me rotten & got me 5, yes 5 pairs of NEW shoes! So cute! I also got 2 dresses & a shirt. lol He got himself a pair of new shoes too.

After that we met my parents for dinner where my brother works (he's a chef, or something like that). My aunt is in town from OR, so that was why.

Saturday night relaxed @ home...aaaahhhhhh....

Sunday, I had a business 'appreciation luncheon', which was really a 'working lunch' that I didn't have to pay for. The owner of hte company introduced us to some new pilot programs she'd like to test out on us & they sound promising. The lunch was @ a 'tea house', very cutesie. It is a Victorian sytled home that was turned into a tea house. Each room ahs a few tables in it & each table seats 3-4, each chair is painted in cute & whimsical designs. They host princess tea parties, Mother's Day teas, bridal & baby showers & individual reservations.

DH took the ktbunch out for pizza while I was gone.

When I got home we went to DH parents to visit a bit & hang out.

Later we went to church, great as always. Nice to actually go as a family. He dropped us off @ home after & then brought us back In-N-Out, just because he knows I LOVE it. He went to work out while we ate.

DH actually looked quite relaxed & I daresay, rejuvenated. Contrary to his other mid-week days off that seem to 'get in the way' of his work week groove. kwim?

It was one of the best weekends we've had in a LONG time. ;o)

  2. What a great weekend! I am glad you all got some much needed rest, relaxation, and time with E/dad.

BBQ season is around the corner, we need to get the families together on one of these weekends. ;-)
