Bet you didn't know you had some salad makings right in your garden!
A few edible flowers:
apple blossoms (I have an apple tree...yay!)
basil blossoms
calendula (aka marigolds, I thought so!)
carnations
chrysanthemums
lavender
cornflower (aka bachelor button)
dandelion (I did know that....)
hibiscus!
I am going to add some of these to our new garden!

I thought Hibiscus was poisonous! I have some in my yard, and I'm pretty sure that I read they are poisonous.

Hibiscus are poisonous to PETS but not people. I found numerous sites & articles about it on google.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea BUT... my dog goes in the same little patch of yard I have next to my mobile home... ugh... don't even want to go there!
