it's official!

My oldest son is a senior this year and so we have been looking @ various colleges and universities.  At the same time I thought about reapplying for next fall at the same time.  Last fall, due to the state budget crisis, I was denied admission.

Well, about a week and a half ago I received an unexpected email telling me the state had finally passed it's budget and the university was able to reopen spring admissions.  It invited  me to reapply for spring semester!!!! It said that since it was a very short window, application fees were automatically waived, plus they kept all my transcript information.

I went to my online application, it was saved, changed the application semester to Spring 2011 & in less than 5 minutes--it was DONE!

Well, today I am excited to announce I received my ACCEPTANCE letter!!!!

This January--I will be a student at CSULB!

I am excited and I can hardly believe it. It's interesting because I had felt that the Lord was leading me back to school but then when I applied & couldn't get in, I was left a bit confused.  I wasn't sure what to think about it.  Then I began to think about it again & wonder if God wanted em to reapply & then suddenly it, literally, fell into my lap.  It was too easy to deny or ignore. It does seem like a better time to get started....wow....I just can't believe it. ;-)

A friend told me we need to celebrate.  I hadn't even thought about it, which is a usual response for me.  But you know what? I think I DO want to CELEBRATE! I think university acceptance is worth celebrating!!!
